How the 14 days work
Delivery day
The period starts the day after delivery and runs for 14 calendar days.
Inspect it properly
Book an independent inspection, run history checks, have your own mechanic look at it.
Tell us
Not happy? Let us know in writing before the 14 days are up.
Collection & refund
We arrange collection and refund within 14 days of the car being back with us.
Conditions
- Notify us in writing at sales@onlinecarmotors.com before the period ends.
- The vehicle must come back in the same condition, with all keys and documents.
- A mileage allowance of 250 miles applies; beyond it a reasonable per-mile charge may be deducted.
- No modifications, re-registration, commercial use, towing, racing or off-road use.
- Any new damage may be deducted, itemised in writing before the refund is finalised.
What this policy is
This 14-day return period is a voluntary policy offered by AMT TRANSPORT INC, not a right granted by federal or state law. There is no general right to cancel a vehicle purchase in the United States, and the FTC's three-day Cooling-Off Rule does not apply to motor vehicles. We offer it because you buy from us online without seeing the vehicle first.
The policy is in addition to, and does not limit, any rights you may have under the law of your state, including any implied warranties that your state does not permit us to disclaim. The FTC Buyers Guide supplied with your vehicle sets out its warranty status and forms part of your purchase contract; where the Buyers Guide and this page differ, the Buyers Guide controls.
Where a vehicle is sold on consignment on behalf of its owner, we remain the seller for the purposes of your contract, and your rights and point of contact are unchanged.
